Development of the first wooded-slatted frame in the world!

In 1956 Lattoflex has developed the first wooden-slatted frame in the world. Only a short time later, the first bed system with individual adjustment possibilities followed. Since that time several inventions and patents by Lattoflex improved the quality of sleep and have influenced the present standard of building bed systems. For 40 years, the wooden-slatted frame has been the best possibility to support the body during the night.

Foundation of the Institute of Sleep Physiology

First cooperation with sleep labs built the base of the Institute of Sleep Physiology. Until now it is the biggest achieve of this kind. We have founded our own research and development department in Bremervörde.

Lattoflex 200 und Lattoflex 300

In the 1990s Lattoflex made a significant step with the implementation of modern high-tech materials, which are used in aircraft constructions, in order to construct the relatively rigid wooden-slatted frame even more flexible.
In comparison with wooded-slatted frames, Lattoflex 200 and Lattoflex 300 have much more points of support. That is why mildew and mould stains will be avoided. The perfect support of each part of the body became possible with the help of new materials and production techniques. For this reason the time of wooded-slatted frames is over. Sleep-scientists of course appreciate the renunciation of wooded-slatted frames.
